Imagine you are working for a major newspaper, and their photographers have just developed these images. It is now your job to write an article.

Colonial Manipulation

Purchasing colony products with low prices exploits the indigenous people's most valuable resources. Vulnerable children are promised with great benefits but, instead, are tricked into drudgery work for a little profit. The children are seen barefooted and cloth-less on top and some are enslaved to provide the master's products, like the sugar and cotton, which gets transferred to Europe (2nd, 4th, 5th, and 6th pictures). Purchasing colony products gives authority for the white man over the indigenous people to manipulate and exploit them for his wellbeing. The indigenous people are disadvantaged, divided, and poor compared to the European who is sitting sluggishly on the chair smoking his cigarette (Picture 2). four indigenous people could be walking bare skinned and shoeless, serving to carry the white man, with his stomach distended (Picture 3). Europeans come to the colony and take its wealth, exercising control over the indigenous population's time and behavior to produce the desired products and don't help those people to grow. Such human exploitation is a result of the Europeans buying from the colonized plantations, which is a greatly discouraged act.

Europeans exploit the colonies to amuse themselves and let the indigenous people serve them but don't try to improve the economy or indigenous society for the benefit of children and families (Pictures 10 & 12). The whole benefit of European colonialism is to exploit the natural resources for the benefit of the European powers. Stopping such human exploitation must start by ceasing the purchase of colonized products with cheap prices, educating them, and helping them to build factories to industrialize their raw materials. The Europeans fight to keep these countries divided to keep the people ignorant, poor, and prevent industrialization despite the wealth of the underground to exploit the wealth of the country and use its resources. All the ports are used for the transfer of goods and not the industrialization of the country. These countries are very rich with their underground resources such as diamond, oil, copper, and different kinds of metals. Despite all that the people are very poor, and live a primitive life as seen in the pictures. The Europeans try to keep them ignorant and bribe their ruler by putting millions of dollars in accounts in Switzerland banks in order to facilitate to the white man the taking of the countries’ wealth outside in cheap prices. Corruption adds to this dilemma as the indigenous rulers act as middle men to sell the wealth of their countries to the Europeans in exchange for weapons to subdue their citizens, keeping them uncivilized.
